Can You Envision If Hot Amway Customers Wore Bright Purple Shirts?
As a consultant to this industry, I remember quite often having the privilege of consulting with Amway independent business owners. No matter how many tips I blog, articles I write, or trainings I teach, I still occassionaly get people that say, "search engine campaigns might be good, but not for my homecare, nutritional supplements, personal care, nutritional products & cosmetics."
While this still shocks me, I'm certain that one of the reasons I hear this is because the "strategy" of search engine campaigns is still not understood.
Let's use our imagination a bit and see if we can get this concept vividly clear in our mind. OK?
Imagine if you could situate yourself at the front door of a Wal-Mart or Circuit City and immediately spot customers who were looking for your product? Lets say they wore brilliant Purple shirts revealing what they were shopping for. Think of the business you'd generate if these buyers somehow knew to go straight to you rather than shopping in a hit and miss fashion? With Google AdWords, Yahoo's Sponsored Search or other pay per click search engines, you connect with customers the very instant they want to hear from you.
Let's take this concept a step further. What if you could have a thousand little helpers at the door of every shopping center in the country. What's more, you'd have to pay them only if they found customers ready to buy and began marketing to them your homecare, nutritional supplements, personal care, nutritional products & cosmetics.
Now, even if other big companies have made big ad banners, hovering over everyone, it doesn't matter. Few customers are going to pay that any attention. All the while, your "agents" are constantly interacting with every single prospective customer.
Running a pay per click ad is like deploying a team of workaholic "agents", except that these search agents won't require breaks and they will work without pay until a customer is delivered to your doorstep. Your "agents" will be waiting 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for customers looking for your products or services. As soon as they start looking, you'll be the first to know.
